The Yulong Guo Koa Concert Classical Guitar is a truly world-class concert guitar by acclaimed Chinese luthier, Yulong Guo. It is the best guitar he knows how to make. This instrument comes with Spruce and is made from the highest quality, master grade woods. The back and sides are Koa, with decorative maple inlay. The soundboard has a double-top design, similar to the one invented by Matthias Dammann in Germany in the late 1980s. It consists of two super thin layers of wood, with a Nomex honeycombed structure between the tops. The fretboard is slightly elevated for easier access above the 12th fret. It has a Spanish cedar neck, ebony fingerboard and bridge, a decorative port hole in the side facing the player, an ebony armrest. The scale length is 650mm. The width at the nut is 52mm, and the width at the 12th fret is 62mm. The tuners are by Der Jung. This is a stunningly beautiful guitar, with huge volume, and the quality of the sound is breathtaking. The quality of workmanship and the sound produced by this guitar compare favorably with world-class concert instruments costing much more. An exclusive white fiberglass case is included in the price. Note: the spruce top has a matte finish for the top. The cedar top has a high gloss finish on the top, sides and back. The Spruce top version has a double bottom, with about an inch of air between the bottoms. The cedar top version has a double layered laminated arched back with no braces. The spruce top version is very bright with strong bases and especially beautiful, singing trebles. The cedar top version is more focused and has a very strong, more solid feel to the sound.
