Dealer Program Available to All Goyette Guitar Owners

World’s Greatest Guitar Dealership Program

Open to all Goyette and Yulong Guo Guitar owners

I get thousands of visitors to my Goyette Guitar Center website every month, but most do not buy, because they are afraid to purchase a guitar without trying it first. Website visitors often ask me if there is a place where they can try my guitars locally, and I always have to say “no.”

Nevertheless, I have had great success selling the Goyette and Yulong Guo guitars over the internet. All are sold with a seven-day trial period, and almost none have been returned.

Our prices are very competitive, often comparing favorably with guitars costing significantly more in most music stores.

It’s time to take my business to the next level and establish a nationwide dealership network, which will enable website visitors to try the guitars and purchase them in their local area.

All Goyette or Yulong Guo owners are eligible to participate in the Dealership Program. There are no contracts to sign, and everything will be done on the honor system.

How the pricing works:

There are two dealership pricing categories, the Regular Dealer category and the Commercial Dealer category.

The Regular Dealer prices are about 15% less than the discounted “retail member” price (resulting in a “dealer Mark-up” of about 20%).  The percentage discount would be somewhat less for guitars retailing for more than $2,500.00.

The Commercial Dealer prices are about the same as what would be offered to brick and mortar music stores, about 25% less than our discounted “retail member” price (resulting in a “dealer mark-up of about 33%). The percentage discount would be somewhat smaller for guitars retailing for more than $2,500.00.

Regular Dealer Qualifications:

The first qualification for becoming a Regular Dealer is to be a Goyette or Yulong Guo guitar owner. If you are not yet a Goyette or Yulong Guo guitar owner, then you would need to purchase one at regular discounted price (ie. retail member, student member, or teacher member pricing).  All additional guitars would be purchased at the regular dealer price.

The second Regular Dealer qualification requirement is that you permit us to publish your contact information on our website. The Dealer List on our website will display your name, city (but no street address, unless you request it), phone and email, and the particular models that you have available for demonstration. This is the means by which we are able to refer viable customers to you.

To maintain your “active” Regular Dealer status, you would need to maintain the required minimum inventory of one or more different models, and keep the Goyette Guitar Center informed of which models you currently have available for demonstration.

Commercial Dealer Qualifications:

Commercial Dealers must carry an inventory of two or more different models of the Goyette Guitar Center guitar line, including your own personal guitar.

The second Commercial Dealer qualification requirement is that you permit us to publish your contact information on our website. The Dealer List on our website will display your name, city (but no street address, unless you request it), the larger metropolitan area within driving distance to your home, phone and email, and the particular models that you have available for demonstration. This is the means by which we are able to refer viable customers to you.

To maintain your “active” Commercial Dealer status, you would need to maintain your display inventory level of two or more different models, and keep the Goyette Guitar Center informed of the models which you currently have available for demonstration.

Second Generation Dealers:

When one of your customers becomes a Dealer, he or she becomes a Second Generation Dealer to the Goyette Guitar Center and a First Generation Dealer to you. Because your customer is now purchasing directly from the Goyette Guitar Center, and not from you, you will no longer receive a Direct Commission on his/her purchases and/or sales. Instead, you will receive an Override Commission. The Override Commission on your First Generation Dealers is equal to 30% of the commission that your First Generation Dealer receives from the Goyette Guitar Center.

Third Generation Dealers:

I wish to avoid the pitfalls relating to “multi-level” or “network” marketing programs. For this reason, no Override Commissions will be paid to you on the purchases and sales of Dealers who are second generation to you and third generation to the Company.

No additional inventory requirements:

Except for your demonstration model(s), there are no additional inventory requirements. When a customer wishes to make a purchase, you do not have to sell your demonstration model. You would take your customer’s payment for the guitar, and then order it directly from us, on behalf of your customer, and deliver it to your customer when it arrives at your home or place of business. In this case, as an independent contractor, you would be expected to comply with all federal, state and local laws and remit the appropriate sales taxes to your local and state government agencies. If you wish to avoid this inconvenience, you may refer the customer to our website. When your customers register on our website and make purchases, they will be asked for the name of the dealer who referred them. After that, they remain your customers for as long as you remain a dealer in good standing. Each time one of your customers purchases a guitar from us, you will be sent a commission check equal to the dealer discount (the difference between your dealer price and the price they actually pay for the guitar). If you sell a guitar from your own inventory, you may simply replace it in your inventory by ordering another from us at the dealer price.

No territorial restrictions:

Because this is largely a “word-of-mouth,” rather than a “brick & mortar” sales business, and because the business relationships often cross state lines, it is not practical to impose territorial limitations on sales, nor is it practical to assign exclusive territories. For this reason, you may find yourself in a situation where two or more Dealers conduct business in the same locality. This cannot be avoided. On the plus side, you are not restricted in any way from making sales to individuals residing in the localities of competing Dealers.

Customers outside of your local area:

If you refer customers to us, who live outside of your area, those individuals would still register with us as your customers, and you will still receive the full commission on sales we make to them. The only exception to this would be in cases where they visited one of our other dealers in their local area to try the guitar in person. In that case, the commission would be split between you and the dealer in your customer’s local area.

Dealer Price List:

As a dealer, you will have access to a “Confidential Dealer Price List,” which shows all the price levels for each guitar, including the MSRP, Non-member Internet Price, Retail Member Price, Student Price, Teacher Price, and the Dealer Prices. Whenever any of the prices on the list changes, you will be notified.

Independent Contractor Status:

As a dealer for the Goyette Guitar Center, you would not be an employee or official representative or spokesperson for us. Instead, your legal status would be that of an “independent contractor,” and you would need to abide by all applicable federal, state and local laws that pertain to the running of your business.

Cordially yours,

Richard Goyette, Owner
