My name is Richard Goyette. In 2010, I started the Goyette Guitar center with the purpose of providing stage-worthy, concert-level classical guitars to the general public at very low prices. Here’s why the prices are so low and what makes the Goyette Guitar Center so special:
LOW LABOR COSTS:
Professional-level classical guitars require huge amounts of highly-skilled hand labor, and the cost of this labor represents over 90% of the price charged for most quality instruments. All Goyette classical guitars are hand-crafted by expert luthiers in China where labor costs are very low. Some of the greatest luthiers in the world live in China. In addition to the classical guitars that bear my own label, I also feature on my website double-top guitars made by Yulong Guo, China’s premier luthier, who has achieved international recognition as one of the best guitar makers in the world. Instead of the Goyette label, these guitars bear Yulong Guo’s name, and are numbered and signed by him.
LOW OVERHEAD COSTS:
In addition to labor costs, a major cost of getting a high quality classical guitar into your hands is the cost of distribution, including distributor and dealer mark-ups, and the high overhead costs associated with brick and mortar music stores. High-end classical guitars are not normally sold in most local guitar and music stores. They are mostly available only in major metropolitan areas, and at very high prices due to the high overhead costs associated with those locations. There are also high costs associated keeping adequate supplies on-hand of instruments whose build times range from several months to one or more years. Because I work from my home, rather than a retail location, my overhead costs are extremely low.
NO EXPENSIVE MIDDLEMEN:
The Goyette and Yulong Guo guitars are purchased directly from their makers in China and then sold directly to you, with no employees or middle men to pay. As a result, the price you pay for a Goyette or Yulong Guo classical guitar is considerably less than what you expect to pay for other guitars of similar sound and quality.

Photos and demo videos have been created for each of the classical guitar models.
